Meet the Honorary Chairs:
Canada: Dr. Foteini Agrafioti
Chief Science Officer, Royal Bank of Canada & Head of Borealis AI
Dr. Foteini Agrafioti is the Chief Science Officer at RBC and Head of Borealis AI, a RBC research institute dedicated to advancing ethical AI capabilities within RBC and our broader society. Foteini oversees a team of over 100 machine learning researchers and engineers in Labs across Canada. Prior to joining Borealis AI, Foteini founded and served as Chief Technology Officer at Nymi, a biometrics security company and maker of the Nymi wristband.
Her commitment to fostering AI innovation aligns seamlessly with the mission of the Women in AI Awards.
USA: Dr. Valérie Morignat
Global Responsible AI Leader, Accenture
Dr. Valérie Morignat is a Responsible AI leader at Accenture, driving responsible Generative AI and promoting a sustainable AI ecosystem. Prior to this, she founded Intelligent Story, an AI consultancy in San Francisco, leveraging her extensive 20-year background in generative arts, AI strategy, ethics, and governance. Dr. Morignat has been instrumental in shaping digital strategies for government agencies and leading digital transformations for leading healthcare brands in the US.
Mexico: Frida Ruh
CEO & Founder AI The New Sexy
Frida Ruh is a Value Based Bidding & Creatives Specialist for Google Mexico. She previously worked as a Data Scientist and leader of the Artificial Intelligence development area for Jüsto and Data Planner Manager for Banco Santander México.
She is the founder of the AI The New Sexy podcast, which is broadcast on multiple streaming platforms, addressing the implications of Artificial Intelligence in various industries and contexts, where she creates a safe space for women to bring their own point of view and concerns from their industry.
