WAI recognized by Sifted as TOP diversity in tech community in Europe

Women in AI features as one of the top 3 in the Sifted list of 100 diversity in tech communities in Europe that are noted for their innovation and initiatives in the field of diversity, inclusion, founders’ enablement and technology. As Women in AI works towards inclusive and responsible AI, recognition of our initiatives such as WaiACCELERATE program tailored to women entrepreneurs in AI, confirms the need for change in both industry and society for achieving an unbiased future.

“Women in AI is proud to have been acknowledged by Sifted for its commitment to inclusion, diversity, and women empowerment. We are on a mission to increase female representation and participation in the field of artificial intelligence (AI),” – says Hanan Salam, co-founder of Women in AI – “Only by fostering gender equality and decoding and removing bias can make the world safer and fairer, and build a future with a more conscious society.”

“This year Women in AI is executing its first ethical leadership and business acceleration program for female founders in the fields of AI, Data Science and Machine Learning. We saw a great gender imbalance in the startup ecosystem across the globe, and that inspired us to launch WaiACCELERATE,” – says Eve Logunova, Women in AI Ambassador in the Netherlands and the initiator of WaiACCELERATE program – “It is incredible to see how fast our participants are able to take their intelligent AI ideas to the next level. From mitigating bias in data sets to combating wildfires, from new forms of education to better mobility and collaboration. There are no limits to what a woman in AI can achieve once she starts building it.”
